About the art

The backgrounds on this page involve experiments with the "Stained Glass" effect available in many different art programs and, in some cases, rotation. The bitmaps one may download following the instructions below appear more smooth than the gifs one may see at the left.

Instructions for use

The "SEE IT!" button will allow you to preview how the tile looks when tiled across a page.

You may save the gif versions of the tiles by right clicking.

With Netscape Communicator, "Save Image As."

In Internet Explorer, use "Save Picture As."

To save the bitmap versions:

If your are using Netscape, you may download the bitmap versions of the tiles on the left by clicking (your computer should ask you if you want to download the thing).
You may also right click and use "Save Link As."

If you are using Microsoft's Internet Explorer, right click and "Save Target As" to download the bitmap.
