Instead of selecting a "squared off" shape, I've chosen a wedge. This wedge is a 45 degree angle, which makes it easy to work with, as two 45 degree angles make one 90 degree angle, a squared off bit. |

Here I've flipped and rotated to get a "mirror image" wedge to join with my first wedge. |

After that, it is easy to copy, flip, and paste into place to form a "doily." |
